Second “Plast-ex” to be held in Toronto in May
The city of Toronto / Canada will host this year’s “Plast-ex” trade fair (www.canontradeshows.com/expo/plastex13), held from 14-16 May 2013. Organised by UBM Canon (Santa Monica / Canada; www.canontradeshows.com), the three-day event brings together equipment, technology and material suppliers to the plastics industry and is co-located with “Packex Toronto”, “Design and Manufacturing Canada”, “Automation Technology Expo Canada”, “PTX Canada: Powder and Bulk Solids” as well as “Sustainability in Manufacturing Canada”. This co-location model already proved successful during the last fair, held in 2011, which saw 678 exhibitors.
The key focus of the event will be on processing machinery, computer-aided design and manufacturing, production machinery, materials, moulds, automation technology as well as materials handling and logistics. Special show features include a pavilion of the Canadian Association of Mould Makers (Windsor, Ontario / Canada; www.camm.ca) as well as a special focus on sustainability in manufacturing.
