“ChinaReplas 2013” to be held in Guangzhou ahead of this year's Chinaplas
Those interested in finding out more about China’s plastics scraps industry are welcome to attend this year’s “ChinaReplas 2013” (http://2013.replas.org.cn/endhjj-1.aspx), held from 17-19 May in Guangzhou / China, ahead of “Chinaplas 2013” (www.chinaplasonline.com). The 8th edition of the fair, which purports to be China’s most influential and large-scale plastics recycling exhibition and conference, will focus on the themes of strategy and tactics of the plastics recycling industry.
Organised by the China Scrap Plastics Magazine (Beijing / China), the three-day event is aimed at familiarising the audience with market and policy changes that took place in 2012, including the Chinese authorities’ decision to cease all imports of unwashed post-consumer plastics and require companies importing such materials to carry a proper import license – see also Plasteurope.com of 11.10.2012. Key themes include new opportunities for China’s renewable resource industry, controlling pollution caused by plastics recycling as well as FAQs on scrap plastics inspection and quarantine. In addition, the event will also showcase new technology developments and discuss classification standards for Chinese recyclers.
