The 26th International Plastics & Rubber Machinery, Processing & Material Exhibition “Plastics & Rubber Indonesia” (www.plasticsandrubberindonesia.com) will be held in Jakarta / Indonesia from 20-23 November 2013. This year’s fair follows on the heels of a record-breaking 2012 edition, which organiser Pamerindo Indonesia (Jakarta; www.pamerindo.com) said attracted almost 12,500 visitors as well as 665 exhibitors from 29 different countries.

Held together with “Mould & Die Indonesia 2013”, the fair is set against the backdrop of the country’s growing plastics industry, which posts growth rates of 7.5% per year, spread across key sectors such as aerospace, automotive, E&E, foods and beverages, household appliances, healthcare and packaging (for a more detailed overview of Indonesia's plastics sector, see Plasteurope.com of 08.06.2012). Pamerindo Indonesia emphasises that Indonesia is the world’s second largest rubber producer and exporter, and is set to take pole position in 2020, with annual production forecast to reach 4m t/y, accounting for 31% of total global output.
