“Polyindia 2013” to be held in Chennai in late April
The 2nd international exhibition on plastics and petrochemicals “Polyindia” will be held in Chennai / India from 25-27 April 2013. The biennial fair – organised by the government’s Department of Chemicals and Petrochemicals (New Delhi; www.chemicals.nic.in), the Central Institute of Plastics Engineering and Technology (CIPET, Chennai; www.cipet.gov.in) as well as the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI, New Delhi; www.ficci.com) – is aimed at fostering interaction between Indian and foreign plastic and petrochemical players.
Key foci of the event, last held in 2011, are injection and blow moulding, raw materials, pipes and fittings, plastic bags and bottles as well as recycling machinery, among others. The organisers expect the 2013 edition to see significant exhibitor and visitor growth over the inaugural event, held in 2011. This year’s fair is expected to attract more than 500 exhibitors as well as in excess of 10,000 visitors.
