From 17-19 April 2012, the city of Maastricht / The Netherlands will host the “UTech Europe Exhibition and Conference” (www.utecheurope.eu), showcasing the latest developments in the polyurethane industry. The event will not only feature an exhibition of leading producers, processing equipment makers and systems houses but also a range of different conference sessions. Numbering more than 100, key exhibitors include Bayer, BASF, Dow, Huntsman, Wanhua and Repsol, among others. As part of the exhibit, several manufacturing technology innovations will be unveiled, according to organiser Urethanes Technology International (Croydon / UK; www.urethanes-technology-international.com), including new mixing and dispensing machinery, equipment for reaction injection moulding and for cutting products based on flexible and rigid foams.

The accompanying conference will consist of 11 different sessions including more than 90 presentations from leading PU players. One of the key foci will be green chemistry, detailing advances for sustainable manufacturing processes for key PU raw materials.

“UTech Europe” was last held in 2009 and attracted more than 3,000 exhibitors and visitors from more than 85 different countries.
