Italian compounder expands capacity for halogen-free flame-retardant compounds
During the summer holiday period, Fainplast (Ascoli Piceno / Italy; www.fainplast.it) has commissioned a new line for halogen-free flame-retardant polyolefin compounds to be used in manufacturing electrical cables. The Italian compounder is investing more than EUR 3m in the plant, which is part of its investment plan up to 2020.
Next year, the line is expected to reach full output, with Fainplast expecting an increase in sales of around EUR 10m. By the end of 2017, the company also plans to install another line for EVA compounds.
