Andreas Ockel to become COO at the start of 2018

Aviation supplier and composites specialist FACC (Ried / Austria; www.facc.com) has appointed Andreas Ockel as chief operating officer as of 1 January 2018. He will succeed Robert Machtlinger, who was appointed CEO in February of this year. Since 2009, Ockel has been vice president at Airbus and responsible for the final assembly of the "A320" aircraft series in Tianjin / China.
A former NATO helicopter pilot, Ockel holds master's degrees in electrical engineering as well as business administration and engineering.
