Gertrud Masure, an ExxonMobil market development manager responsible for PP and other materials in the portfolio in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, said the Irish and UK healthcare sectors played an essential role in the broader European market, noting that Ireland served as a strategic hub for medical devices and electronics.
ExxonMobil said it expects the deal to broaden accessibility of its healthcare portfolio. The company pointed out that interest in VistamaxxTM for medical and pharmaceutical applications has increased significantly due to the properties of the materials and industry moves away from PVC. The materails are well-suited for replacing PVC in applications such as IV bags, tubes, ostomy pouches, and bioreactor bags, it added.
