Private equity firm acquires extrusion tool specialist
Private equity investment firm Bertram Capital (San Mateo, California / USA; www.bertramcapital.com) has acquired Extrusion Dies Industries (EDI, Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin / USA; www.extrusiondies.com) for an undisclosed amount. Reports indicate that the management of the manufacturer of flat film dies for extrusion will stay on. In addition, the takeover is not expected to affect the company’s 240 employees worldwide. After a management buyout in 2003, EDI had more than doubled its business volume. Bertram said it would support the company’s expansion plans.
