UK acquisition adds to capabilities
Aerospace and automotive composites specialist Express Composites Group (Loddon, Norwich / UK; www.ex-pressplastics.co.uk), formerly Ex-Press Plastics Group, has bought Racing Technology Norfolk (Hingham, Norwich / UK; www.racingtechnologynorfolk.co.uk) from the Audi Group for an undisclosed sum. The new grouping will have a staff of 150, a turnover in excess of GBP 10m (EUR 14.6m) and will be based at an adjacent facility, currently under construction, at Ellough, Beccles.
The unit will be a one-stop shop for the design, consultancy, engineering, low and medium volume production and assembly of composites produced by a range of techniques. New clients are to be sought in the defence, marine and telecommunications sectors.
