From 11 to 14 November 2024, the Exolon Group (Munich, Germany; www.exolongroup.com) is set to showcase its medical plastic packaging products and devices at the Compamed trade fair in Düsseldorf, Germany. The company’s product line includes Inspria Med, Vivak Med, and Exolon Med brands.

Inspria Med sheets, crafted from Eastman’s (Kingsport, Tennessee, USA; www.eastman.com) Tritan MP 100 copolyester, are designed for a variety of medical applications, such as packaging and dental aligners. According to Exolon, this material is compatible with multiple sterilisation methods, for instance gamma radiation and ethylene oxide.

Vivak Med, produced from Eastman Eastar 6763 copolyester, offers easy processing and is ideal for thermoformed containers and trays used in medical devices and skin-contact applications like prostheses, the company said.

Exolon Med sheets are transparent PC materials designed for rigid medical packaging as well as protective devices, containers, and trays that come in contact with the skin, including prostheses. They can endure temperatures up to 120°C, making them suitable for sterilisation using water vapor. Exolon emphasises that all products in the Med range are made from 100 percent virgin material.
