CFRP/GFRP processor expands Austrian plant
Just a few weeks after announcing an expansion at its plant in Nanjing / China, Finnish pultruded and wound composite profiles producer Exel Composites (Mäntyharju; http://exelcomposites.com) is now planning to invest at its plant in Austria. The company intends to make EUR 8m available to more than double capacity of its site in Kapfenberg. Its Austrian subsidiary is expected to commence work soon, with the added output set to be brought on stream in H2 2016. The expansion is set against the backdrop of rising demand from central and southeast Europe.

Exel produces fibre-reinforced components and semi-finished products for a range of applications, including pultruded profiles and electricity poles.
