Med tech grades available through IMCD in Europe

German chemicals and plastics supplier Evonik (Essen; www.evonik.com) has agreed to have Dutch speciality chemicals wholesaler IMCD (Rotterdam; www.imcdgroup.com) sell its resins for medical technology.
The contract, which applies from 1 May, covers all countries in the European Economic Area, the UK, and Switzerland.

The medical technology portfolio includes the polyamide materials Vestamid Care ML and Vestamid Care ME, Trogamid Care MX (PA 6.3T), the PEEK Vestakeep Care, and Vestodur PBT. The plastics are used, among other things, in the manufacture of medical tubing, dialysis parts, surgical instruments, and inhalers.
