EVONIK
Elatur Dincd plasticiser for durable outdoor products
German speciality chemicals producer Evonik (Essen; www.evonik.com) has launched Elatur Dincd, an isononanal (INA)-based plasticiser for durable outdoor products that offers low-temperature flexibility and high temperature UV resistance.

Evonik had announced plans to begin producing plasticiser products from INA at its Marl, Germany site last year (see Plasteurope.com of 19.11.2021). Initial production has already been carried out, according to the company.

The new product, a cyclohexanoate, is easy to process due to low viscosity, and is suitable for demanding exterior and interior applications such as textile fabrics, roofing membranes, floor coverings and adhesives and sealants, as well as paints and coatings, according to Evonik. With the portfolio expansion, the group has been continuously expanding its business with the plasticisers, Elatur CH, Vestinol 9, and Elatur DPT – as fast-gelling agents for special PVC applications – since 2013.
