Evonik's (Essen / Germany; www.evonik.com) plastics division Performance Materials is getting a new boss. From 1 April 2019, Joachim Dahm has been appointed CEO of the divison. He will take over from Johann-Caspar Gammelin, who will become chairman of the management board of Evonik Nutrition & Care. Both belong to the company's executive board.
Performance Materials includes PMMA ("Plexiglas"), butadiene, PC films and sheets ("Europlex"), "Cyrolite" compounds and other polymer materials. The German group's methacrylate business (MMA/PMMA) is up for sale, however – see Plasteurope.com of 08.03.2018.
