Christian Kullmann takes over as CEO

Klaus Engel, long-standing CEO of speciality chemicals group Evonik (Essen / Germany; www.evonik.com), handed over his office to Christian Kullmann at the end of the annual shareholders’ meeting on 23 May 2017.
Werner Müller, chairman of the supervisory board, thanked Engel for his great service, adding, "You successfully led the company through the global financial and economic crisis and steered the development of Evonik from a conglomerate to one of the leading speciality chemical companies."
