Circular economy convention set to kick off spring season

On 12 March 2025, leading players from business, science, politics, and society will be gathering for the two-day Circular Valley Convention in Düsseldorf, Germany. The Who’s Who of the industry will be there to develop solutions for the future of a circular economy, while attendees will learn about business models designed to extend product life cycles.

Topics such as product design, manufacturing, logistics, use, and recycling technologies are on the agenda under the event’s motto, Uniting Industries for a Circular Tomorrow. The fair will focus on circular solutions for materials such as plastics, packaging, printing, construction, as well as glass and metal.
At this year’s event, industry experts will not only discuss currently marketable solutions, but will also provide an outlook for the future of the circular economy, while addressing key challenges, opportunities, and latest developments for a variety of sectors as well.
According to the organisers, a number of prominent business leaders are set to deliver keynote speeches. Holger Hanselka, president of the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft, will share insights into current scientific findings and technological developments that are driving the circular economy. Joe Murphy, executive lead of the Ellen MacArthur Foundation, will talk about how companies around the world are successfully implementing circular models. Laurent Auguste, CEO of Grüner Punkt, plans to address current developments in packaging recycling. Sean Jones, chief sustainability officer at Microsoft Germany, is set to focus on circular solutions in the context of digitalisation and cloud applications. Katja Busch, CCO of the DHL group, will highlight the topic of clean and green supply chains for circular logistics. Liam Condon, CEO of Johnson Matthey, plans to provide expertise on developing circular business strategies based on renewable energy.
Event coordinators have said tickets are currently available, with an early bird promotion running until 15 November. Tickets purchased under this deal are reduced by EUR 100.
