The "Plastic Free World" conference and expo (www.plasticfree-world.com) will be held from 27-28 June 2019 in Frankfurt / Germany. The event comprises a senior-executive level conference and exhibition to explore how international businesses from a variety of industries can reduce their use of plastics based on fossil fuels, eliminate single-use plastics, design more sustainable bio-sourced products and packaging as well as introduce more circular business models.
There will be more than 80 speakers from companies already adopting sustainable and circular approaches to help tackle the global plastics pollution crisis – including Axion, DSM, DuPont, Ikea, Nestlé Waters, P&G, Sirane, Smurfit Kappa, Stora Enso, Suez and Unilever. They will discuss business models, materials innovations, regulations, manufacturing technologies and bio-sourced solutions, among others. Plastic Free World will address topics that are to help meet plastics waste targets and create sustainable products accepted by evolving consumer demands.
The organiser, Trans-Global Events (Surrey / UK; www.trans-globalevents.com), notes that any company aiming to reduce the environmental impact of plastics in its supply chain should attend this event. Material suppliers, retailers, food and beverage businesses, automotive/transport companies, packaging manufacturers and clothing and textile firms are particularly recommended to attend.
