“PET Recycling for Food Contact” Conference to be held in Frankfurt in March
The European Association for Unoriented Polyester Films (EuPET, Frankfurt / Germany; www.eupet.org) is organising a “PET Recycling for Food Contact” Conference, to be held in Frankfurt / Germany on 3 March 2016. The event includes a number of presentations by leading players in the European PET recycling industry, and aims to shed light on the defined use of recycled plastics that are allowed to come into contact with food, as outlined in EC regulation 282/2008.
Presentations will focus on the law-conforming and safe production of food packaging made of recycled plastics, and the conference will also include discussion rounds, allowing attendees to engage with the experts – all with a view to the upcoming decision by the European Commission – expected in February 2016 – on what additions need to be made to regulation 282/2008.
Participation is free but registration is obligatory.
