10th “Annual GPCA Forum” to take place in Dubai in mid-November
The theme of the 10th “Annual GPCA Forum” (www.gpcaforum.net), held in Dubai / United Arab Emirates from 17-19 November, is “Building on achievements: Enabling continued success in the changing chemical landscape.” A number of leading petrochemical players will be presenting at the three-day event, organised by the Gulf Petrochemicals and Chemicals Association (GPCA, Dubai / UAE; www.gpca.org.ae). They include ExxonMobil, Arkema, Sumitomo Chemical, Sabic, CEPSA and Tasnee. Topics to be addressed include the implications of the new energy environment on the chemicals industry, a global economic outlook, the state of the global chemical industry as well as the merits of full integration, among others. More than 2,100 visitors from 45 different countries attended the forum last year.
GPCA represents the downstream hydrocarbon industry in the Persian Gulf, and is made up of more than 240 member companies from the chemical and related industries. Its members account for more than 95% of chemical output in the region, the association says.
