The “Plastic Pipelines Spring Conference 2013” (www.gulfplasticspipe.org/gppa-spring-conference/2013) will take place on 28 and 29 May in Doha / Qatar. Organised by the Gulf Plastics Pipe Academy (Abu Dhabi / United Arab Emirates; www.gulfplasticspipe.org), the two-day event will showcase the latest methodologies and solutions to deliver and distribute potable water, collect and transmit waste water as well as delve into oil and gas applications for plastic pipes.

The first day of the event, which discusses the challenges currently facing the pipeline industry, will focus on life cycle repair and maintenance, while the second day will centre on the role of plastic pipes in the sustainability and conservation of resources.
