“Plastic Pipes XVI” in Barcelona
From 24-26 September 2012, the city of Barcelona / Spain will play host to the international plastic pipe conference “Plastic Pipes XVI” (www.ppxvi.org). Held last in Vancouver / Canada, the biennial forum attracted more than 500 participants from over 80 countries and the organisers are hopeful that the Spanish event will draw even more attention. The event is co-organised by the Plastics Pipe Institute (Irving, Texas / USA; http://plasticpipe.org), PVC4Pipes (Brussels / Belgium; www.pvc4pipes.com), PE100+ (www.pe100plus.net) and the European Plastic Pipes and Fitting Association (TEPPFA, Brussels / Belgium; www.teppfa.com).
The event will focus on issues such as rehabilitating traditional sewer and utility pipe networks through trenchless technology, sustainable construction and lifecycle assessment as well as new applications, including to harvest and collect rainwater via filtration and attenuation systems. In addition, the event will also shed light on other developments such as structured wall and multi-layer pipes.
