The German city of Frankfurt will play host to the 17th “EuroMold World Fair for Mold Making and Tooling, Design and Application Development” (www.euromold.com) from 1-4 December 2010. Organiser Direct Exposition Managing and Trading (Demat, Frankfurt / Germany; www.demat.com) expects the four-day event to attract some 1,500 exhibitors from 45 different countries as well as roughly 60,000 visitors. This year a special focus will be on Turkey, the fair’s partner country, allowing visitors to further explore opportunities in this dynamic emerging market.
Aside from conferences, forums and workshops, this year’s EuroMold also will feature special shows on “Energy Efficiency and Moldmaking” as well as “e-Production for everyone”. True to its concept, “From Idea to Prototype to Series Production”, visitors to the 75,000 m2 fairgrounds will be able to enjoy exhibits covering the entire process chain, from form designers to moldmakers, machine tool producers, subcontractors and end users.
Demat says that as of 1 July, exhibitor numbers already saw a year-on-year increase of at times staggering proportions, with South Korean exhibits up 66.7% over 2009, while 60% more exhibitors from host country Turkey will showcase their products. Exhibitor numbers are also up for the UK (+55.6%), Spain (+16.7%) and France (+10.5%). The organiser also says it has registered a high number of first-time exhibitors, most coming from Germany, Turkey, Italy, China, Japan and Spain.
