In the last three years, approximately BEF 500m (DEM 24m) have been invested in the buildings, machines and facilities as well as technical development of the site of ERTA NV (Industriepark Noord, B-8880 Tielt), a subsidiary of DSM. These measures include the installation of the European headquarters of DSM Engineering Plastic Products (DSM EPP) for stock shapes and machined parts; setting up a European Logistics Center for the distribution of stock shapes; new offices; a spacious hall for storage and milling machines; a clean room of class 100.000 for medical products; as well as a production center for fast delivery of cast tubes (Tube Express).

DSM EPP has worldwide leadership positions in the production and sales of stock shapes in engineering plastics and transparent sheets, and regional leadership positions in machined parts and moulded products. ERTA's line of stock shapes is one of the oldest and most comprehensive in Europe.
