Plastics recycling systems specialist Erema (Ansfelden / Austria; www.erema.at) has installed a second plant at its Erema North America trial centre in Ipswich, Massachusetts. The new line has doubled the site’s testing space, meaning customers are able to carry out more trial runs. Investment details were not disclosed. The tests are important, Erema said, since working with recyclate requires a detailed analysis of potential problems in the recycling process. The investment is part of the company’s goal to ensure quality control.
The Austrian group also announced that it had installed its new “Intarema” patented counter current technology at all its 13 global trial centres, located at group headquarters, in Ipswich and at a trial plant in the Middle East. Intarema – unveiled at last year’s “K” fair (see Plasteurope.com of 17.06.2013) – allows test runs to be carried out in realistic production conditions, Erema said, adding that it currently carries out about 400 tests every year. As the Austrian group continues to expand its trial centres, the number of tests will rise, too.
Aside from trial centres, Erema also operates a number of technical support sites throughout the world – including in Europe, the Americas, China, Japan, Vietnam, South Korea, Africa and the Middle East.
