The European PVC Window Profiles and Related Building Products Association (EPPA, Brussels; www.eppa-profiles.eu) has a new chief.
Previous deputy Alexander Franke has succeeded Carsten Heuer (Rehau), who stepped down after one year as chairman of the association. Götz Schmiedeknecht (Salamander) was elected vice-president at the general meeting in Warsaw, Poland, at the end of May.
Franke is a member of the management board at German PVC window profile manufacturer Profine (Troisdorf; www.profine-group.com) in the role of chief supply chain officer, responsible for purchasing, production planning, order management, and logistics.
The association also announced the establishment of its first two national units, EPPA Deutschland and EPPA Polska. “Both branches take care of the national concerns of system providers with a focus on policy work,” EPPA managing director Charlotte Röber told Plasteurope.com.
