Injection moulding machinery manufacturer Engel (Schwertberg / Austria; www.engelglobal.com) has consolidated its 30 subsidiaries and more than 60 representative offices worldwide into seven sales regions, each headed by a regional sales president who reports to CSO Christoph Steger.

Steger, who also manages the Central European region, said sales responsibilities are being transferred directly to regional heads who make independent decisions on local issues. This shortens the decision-making process and intensifies the ongoing development of local expert know-how for customised injection moulding solutions. The regional heads are also tasked with the continued advancement of the global business unit strategy.

Engel said the new structure and reinforced teams enable the anticipation of future requirements at an even earlier stage.

The six other regional sales presidents are Graeme Herlihy (Western Europe), Petr Stibor (Eastern Europe), Wolfgang Degwerth (America), Walter Jungwirth (Middle East, Turkey, Africa and India), Gero Willmeroth (East Asia, Australia and Oceania) and Romain Reyre (Southeast Asia).
