On 1 January 2018, Matteo Terragni took over as managing director of the Italian sales and service office of injection moulding machinery manufacturer Engel (Schwertberg / Austria; www.engelglobal.com). His predecessor, Maurizio Passalacqua, had been at the helm of the Italian subsidiary based in Vimercate near Milan since 1990. Passalacqua will remain on the management board as an advisor during the reorganisation.

An injection moulding expert, Terragni has previously held management positions in the raw materials and automotive supply industries as well as in tool manufacturing. Engel Italia has its own training facility with a technology centre, and employs over 30 people serving more than 1,000 customers.
