A long time coming, the generational change at injection moulding machinery maker Engel (Schwertberg / Austria; www.engelglobal.com) will take place this year. On 30 November 2016, company chairman Peter Neumann will withdraw from the operative business, and hand over the reins to Stefan Engleder, the great-grandson of company founder Ludwig Engel, and current head of R&D, engineering and production.
Engleder will become the board’s executive chairman on 1 December this year and will continue to oversee all R&D activities. He will be supported by the other board members: Fellow founding family member Christoph Steger, in charge of sales and marketing; Klaus Siegmund, responsible for finance, personnel and IT; as well as Joachim Metzmacher, head of global production.
