Engel Machinery India, a subsidiary of Austrian injection moulding machinery manufacturer Engel (Schwertberg; www.engelglobal.com), is extending its sales base close to the international airport in Mumbai / India to include a technical centre and a seminar and training facility.

The technical centre will be used for machine demonstrations, customer trials, pre-production and running mould trials using tiebar-less machines from Engel’s “Victory” series with energy-saving servohydraulic “Ecodrive”, fully electric machines from the “E-Motion” range (for precise, high-speed applications) and “Viper” robots from the company’s latest linear generation.

Courses offered at the new seminar and training facility will lead to qualifications for machine operators and maintenance technicians alongside training in the basics of plastics processing. The company also plans to invite customers and other interested parties in plastics processing to regular technology seminars.
