First machine rolls off Shanghai production line / Facility to be inaugurated in May

The first machine to be produced by Engel (Schwertberg / Austria; www.engelglobal.com) at its new EUR 25m facility in Shanghai / China, a "Duo 900" unit, has been delivered to a Korean customer. Engel now has a production area of over 8,000 m2 for the manufacture and assembly of the large-scale Duo series in Shanghai.
Once the facility is complete, a large proportion of components for the machines will be produced on site. The facility will be officially opened in May, prior to the "Chinaplas 2007" exhibition in Guangzhou.
