Two UK companies sold / MBO team has long-term commitment to supply of HDPE bottles
Packaging giant Elopak (Spikkestad / Norway; www.elopak.com) has sold its two UK companies producing HDPE bottles for the beverage and dairy industries to a management buy-out team. The two companies, Auspac, based in Bracknell, Berkshire, and Elopak Plastic Systems (UK), located in Foston, Derbyshire, become part of a new organisation, FourFourTwo, headed by managing director Kim Potter.
Together, the two factories operate 16 highly automated production lines with 60 staff and an estimated 10% share of the UK market. Turnover is approximately GBP 15m (EUR 22m). The MBO creates the largest, independent, privately-owned manufacturer of HDPE liquid food containers in the UK. Potter said: "We intend to be a long-term, highly competitive supplier to the beverage and dairy industries." Elopak Plastic Systems (UK) is to be renamed EPS (Foston).
