New German PE marketing organisation starts / Products to use BASF brand names
Elenac GmbH (Carl-Bosch-Str. 38, D-67065 Ludwigshafen), the new polyethylene joint venture between BASF and Shell, started business on 1 March. The company will market all the PE products of its two parent companies – including those taken over from Montell – under the BASF brand names, which include "Lupolen", "Luflexen", "Lucobit" and "Lupolex". Elenac has distribution companies in all major European markets. Customers are to be informed locally about product name changes.
Until its new offices in Kehl are ready for occupation in August, customers will be served by Elenac's marketing and distribution centre in Ludwigshafen. Research and application technology along with technical service and licence marketing will remain in Ludwigshafen after administration moves. Montell customers also will be served from here.
