Follow-up: Polish stretch film specialist plans third capacity expansion / Output to reach 100,000 t/y by 2015
After having received the official okay for additional investments at its plant in Rogoznica / Poland, Polish stretch film specialist Zaklad Produkcji Folii Efekt Plus (Efekt, Rzeszów; www.efekt-stretch.com) has announced plans for a new production line, due to come on stream in 2015.
The news comes on the heels of Efekt’s latest expansion, including the addition of a new 10,000 t/y multi-layer stretch film unit – see Plasteurope.com of 13.12.2013. The company now said the new unit, which will raise overall output to 70,000 t/y, will be commissioned in October.
Once the third expansion, due in 2015, is brought on stream, Efekt Plus will have capacity to turn out 100,000 t/y of film, the company said. The Polish company has followed an aggressive expansion and export policy for years, and looks poised to replace Italy as the leading importer of stretch film to Germany – currently Europe's largest market (for more details, see Plasteurope.com of 17.07.2013.
