Caprolactam recycling project starts in Slovenia
A new polyamide waste-to-caprolactam recycling project inaugurated recently in Slovenia is designed to pioneer the technology and create qualified jobs in the former Yugoslav republic. The EUR 17.3m project operated by Julon, a subsidiary of Italian PA fibres and engineering plastics manufacturer Aquafil (Arco; www.aquafil.com), is receiving EUR 3.6m in aid from the Slovenian government.

The recycling input will come from waste that otherwise would be sent to landfill.
