EASTMAN
Low-volatility pure monomer resins introduced
Eastman Chemical (Kingsport, Tennessee / USA; www.eastman.com) has developed a new line of low-volatility pure monomer resins in response to environmental concerns about volatile organic compounds (VOCs). The company says the new resins, including “Kristalex” 5140LV, Kristalex 3115LV, Kristalex 3100LV and “Plastolyn” 290LV, have the same performance, colour and stability characteristics of its traditional pure monomer resins, while offering lower VOC levels.

Eastman pure monomer resins are used to balance cohesion, melt viscosity and mechanical properties of various polymers.
