Purchase of HDPE pressure pipe producer PolyPipe / Expansion of US operations
HDPE pipe manufacturer Dura-Line Holdings (Knoxville, Tennessee / USA; www.duraline.com) has expanded its US operations with the purchase of PolyPipe Holdings (Gainesville, Texas / USA; www.polypipeinc.com).
PolyPipe manufactures pressure-rated HDPE pipes for infrastructure applications in the energy, natural gas distribution, water, nuclear power, mining and industrial segments. “With its significant market share, national presence and differentiated products and capabilities, PolyPipe will position us to further strengthen our footprint in the US,” said Dura-Line president and CEO Paresh Chari.
Dura-Line, which is owned by private equity firm CHS Capital (www.chsonline.com), will integrate PolyPipe into its US regional operations. The combined company will have 12 manufacturing plants for HDPE duct and conduit in the USA and 19 worldwide.
Dura-Line completed the purchase of PolyPipe from private equity company The Halifax Group (www.thehalifaxgroup.com) on 13 April. Financial terms were not disclosed.
