DuPont (Wilmington, Delaware / USA; www.dupont.com), newly re-emerged from DowDuPont, has launched a new masterbatch for polyethylene blown film under the designation “AMB-12235”. The new product of the former Dow Corning – now part of DuPont – combines an anti-block agent with a compatible slip additive that according to the company improves film processing and ensures consistent quality.
By creating synergistic effects through the right combination and amount of each active ingredient, DuPont said the masterbatch delivers a low coefficient of friction (COF) over time, while also helping prevent migration to the film surface. The new masterbatch, which was presented at the recent “Chinaplas 2019” exhibition held from 21-24 May in Guangzhou, Guangdong – see Plasteurope.com of 06.06.2019 – is approved for food contact in China, Europe and the US.
