Duo Plast (Lauterbach / Germany; www.duoplast.ag) has extended its films portfolio with the addition of “Duo Protect”, a new PE protection film for sensitive surfaces. The self-adhesive film is produced without the use of glue, and adheres to smooth and coated surfaces, protecting them from scratches, dirt, greases and humidity, the company said.

Duo Protect is temporarily applied during assemblage, transportation and storage, the company said, adding that it is particularly suitable for the protection of vehicle, furniture, glass and metal surfaces. Thanks to being adhesive-free, the film can be removed without leaving any residue and is easily processed further. In addition to a high abrasion resistance, Duo Protect is also highly transparent, Duo Plast said. The company added that the film is available in a range of different colours.

Lauterbach-based Duo Plast specialises in the production of packaging film for the industrial, agricultural and food industries. Its 135 employees posted sales of EUR 50m in 2015.
