Roeland Polet becomes new head of Engineering Plastics business

Once the handover is complete – sometime in Q3 this year – Roeland Polet will take over from Roelof Westerbeek as director of the Engineering Plastics division of Dutch material sciences company Royal DSM (Heerlen; www.dsm.com). Westerbeek will remain with the company until 1 July next year.
Polet most recently served as senior vice president of Global Industrial and Corporate Development at Valspar Company (Minneapolis, Minnesota / USA; www.valsparglobal.com). During his career, he also worked with Ticona/Celanese, and in addition spent 10 years in R&D and marketing at DSM Engineering Plastics.
