“EcoPaXX” PA 410 range is extended
Global life sciences and material sciences major Royal DSM (Heerlen / The Netherlands; www.dsm.com) has extended its range of “EcoPaXX” PA 4.10 with the addition of a higher viscosity extrusion grade for the film, fibre and monofilament markets. The material has been developed for applications requiring high thermal stability, broad processing range and melt strength.
In the automotive market, “EcoPaXX” is employed in covers for turbo engines by Daimler, BMW and Bentley, thanks to its combination of high temperature resistance, dimensional stability and high quality surface. VW selected the material for use in one of its latest engines for a crankshaft cover, where heat and chemical resistance, together with dimensional stability, are important. Its properties also bring benefits in applications such as tubes, film and fibres. It is additionally employed in the building and construction and sports and leisure industries.
