DSM ENGINEERING PLASTICS
Distribution agreement with Resinet / Expanding its footprint in Brazil
Strengthening its presence in Brazil, DSM Engineering Plastics (Sittard / The Netherlands; www.dsmep.com) on 30 January 2012 announced that it had entered into a distribution agreement with São Paulo-based Resinet (www.resinet.com.br) to distribute its product portfolio in the Latin American country. The Sittard-based group expects the deal will help accelerate its growth in the automotive, E&E and general industries in Brazil.
The agreement covers the distribution of DSM’s “Akulon” PA 6, “Stanyl” PA 4.6 and “Arnitel” TPC grades, with plans to add the Dutch group’s sustainable polymers “EcoPaXX” PA 4.10 and “Arnitel Eco” in the near future.
Resinet has been engaged in raw materials distribution for the past 40 years. Its commercial director, Antonio Celso Ferraz, welcomed the deal, adding that Brazil’s market for engineering applications continues to grow, affording great opportunities for DSM’s polyamide range.
