Expansion of production site in Poland / Improvements for automotive supply

German automotive supplier Dr. Schneider (Kronach-Neuses; www.dr-schneider.com) has expanded its plant in Radomierz / Poland. In mid-July, the company put a new production hall there into operation. "This was another milestone for the Dr. Schneider company group," said chairman of the executive board Parag Shah at the opening ceremony. The expansion allows additional orders to be processed.
Dr. Schneider's largest international location is in Radomierz, where there is a control centre for assembly, including 90 assembly lines, 40 injection moulding machines, a rapid prototyping facility, an in-house maintenance/tool repair shop and a test laboratory. With the new 3,000 m² building, which was built in five months, the production area has increased to 28,000 m² and the workforce has 200 new employees, bringing the total to around 1,600 employees.
The company manufactures plastic products for the automotive sector, such as ventilation systems, interior panelling, instrument panels and centre consoles. Dr. Schneider's customers include Audi, BMW, Ferrari, Fiat Chrysler, Ford, GM, Jaguar Land Rover, Lamborghini, Maserati, Mercedes, Porsche, Rolls-Royce, Seat, Toyota, Volvo and VW. The automotive supplier, founded in 1927, has production sites in Germany, China, Poland, Spain and the USA, and employs more than 4,000 people worldwide.
