Dow Chemical (Midland, Michigan / USA; www.dow.com) has named Luciano Poli as president for India, the Middle East and Turkey (IMET). He will be based at regional headquarters in Dubai / United Arab Emirates.

Poli has been working at Dow for nearly 30 years, and has held various treasury and finance positions in Switzerland, South Africa, Spain, China and Saudi Arabia. As CFO of Sadara (Jubail / Saudi Arabia; www.sadara.com), he was involved in the successful financing and initial construction phase of the project for the "largest chemical complex ever built in the world in a single phase," which has 26 integrated production facilities (see Plasteurope.com of 16.08.2017). Poli says his involvement in Dow's Middle East operations for the past 20 years will help him lead the company in the IMET region.
