Two grades added to “Affinity GA” polyolefin elastomer range
Dow Elastomers, a business unit of Dow Chemical (Midland, Michigan / USA; www.dow.com) has added two grades to its “Affinity GA” family of polyolefin elastomers.
“Affinity GA” 1000R is a maleic anhydride-grafted polymer offering improved bond strength for hard-to-bond substrates, such as coated papers and boards or recycled paper, and improved heat stress – achieving between 5°C to 10°C additional temperature resistance. “Affinity GA” 1875 is a lower viscosity alternative for enhanced formulation flexibility as well as high bond strength in low-application temperature hot-melt adhesives when used alone or in combination with other “Affinity GA” polymers.
Dow Elastomers will launch the new polymers at the “World adhesive & sealant conference” (www.wac2012.org), held from 18 to 21 September 2012 in Paris / France.
