DOW
Business alliance for polyurethane systems in the Middle East / New manufacturing plant planned in Saudi Arabia
In a step toward building up its market presence in the Middle East, Dow Formulated Systems (Midland, Michigan / USA; www.dow.com), a global business unit of US chemical giant Dow, has entered into a business alliance with E.A. Juffali & Brothers (Saudi Arabia; www.eajb.com).

The deal encompasses both businesses’ polyurethane systems divisions, which in future will cooperate in the fields of innovative products and services. In addition, the alliance foresees the construction of a polyol blends manufacturing plant in Jeddah / Saudi Arabia. “The planned facility will produce Dow-formulated polyols, and the respective Dow polyurethane systems will be marketed in the region,” explained Juffali Chemical Group general manager Souahil El Farouki.

Juffali & Brothers’ portfolio extends to a wide range of segments, from automobile manufacturing to refrigeration. The group has partnered with numerous multinational corporations and its operations cover all markets in the region.
