Ana Carolina Haracemiv is the new head of the Europe, Middle East, Africa and India (EMEAI) region for Dow Polyurethanes (Horgen / Switzerland; www.dowpolyurethanes.com) since 1 January 2019. She takes over from Jon Penrice, who held the post for the past seven years. Haracemiv previously served as Dow's (Midland, Michigan / USA; www.dow.com) commercial director for Polyurethanes and CAV (chlor alkali and vinyl) and Industrial Solutions in Latin America.

Since 1 January, Penrice has a new role as Dow's president of Asia Pacific. Dow recently expanded its presence in this region when it opened a 79,000 t/y polyol plant for rigid PU foam in Rayong / Thailand in November 2018. The new plant follows the opening of PU systems houses in Lote Parshuram, Maharashtra / India – see Plasteurope.com of 06.06.2018 – and Zhangjiagang, Jiangsu / China – see Plasteurope.com of 22.05.2017.
