Fast curing epoxy resins "Synexa" launched

Dow Automotive Systems (Auburn Hills, Michigan / USA; www.dowautomotive.com) has introduced a range of fast curing epoxy resins for lightweight applications. Using the “Synexa” resins can save up to 40% in weight compared with steel, the company said. Cycle times are currently as low as 10 minutes and the future target is less than five minutes, it added.
Synexa resins are compatible with glass and carbon fibre reinforcement and are suitable for structural applications such as bonnets and roofs.
