DLW AG
Expansion in automobile technology / Spanish subsidiary founded
The founding of a Spanish subsidiary, Emfisint Automotive SA (Madrid), by DLW AG (PO Box 1253, D-74302 Bietigheim-Bissingen) is a further step in DLW's commitment to automobile technology. The new company will take over Emfisint SA and Mold Auto SA (both in Terrassa / Barcelona) from January 3, 1994, as well as the Emfisint subsidiaries in Spain and Belgium. According to DLW, the Emfisint group with 400 employees had a turnover of approximately DM 64m in 1992 in moulded textile parts for automotive interiors.
The DLW automobile business area, which includes Georg Näher GmbH (D-71706 Markgröningen) and Helphos GmbH (D-38667 Bad Harzburg), reported a turnover of DM 187m in 1992. Näher's managing director, Erhard Winkler, and Jaime Orts from Emfisint SA will together form the board of the new DLW daughter company. In Germany, the automobile technology of DLW previously concentrated on the supply of textile linings and moulded carpeting for car interiors and trunks, in addition to precision blow- and injection moulded plastic parts.
