Spanish compounder opens Mexican production site

Spain’s Delta Tecnic (Barcelona; www.deltatecnic.com) has begun manufacturing operations in Mexico at what is said to be the company’s first plant outside its home country. The EUR 4.5m, 3,000 m² plant in Querétaro has a capacity of 700 t a year and will make colour concentrates for the Latin America and US automotive markets, according to media reports, which noted that deliveries to producers in other sectors are under consideraiton for the future.
The plant, which can be expanded to 5,000m², will eventually employ up to 40 workers, the reports said.
